I’ve had an interest in photography since I took a class in my Junior year of high school, around 2002. I worked with 35mm and it was a pain but I found it relaxing. I joined the military shortly after high school and never had a “good” camera on me to tell the crazy stories that surrounded a soldier in the Army. I’ve lived in Japan, South Korea, and Iraq (not because I wanted to) and I wish I had taken time to take more pictures. Only a handful of photos exist and mostly with the quality of a 2004 cell phone camera.
Fast forward to a few months ago, my beautiful fiance Melissa had seen that I loved taking pictures everywhere we went. Generally in the Arizona/California areas. I was laid off from a great job and found myself a little bummed. To cheer me up she purchased my first “real” camera and from there I haven’t stopped attempting to develop my skill and learn everything there is about photography. I do not plan on being a professional, or making it my primary source of income. It’s just a hobby and we’ll see where it goes from there.
