A few weeks ago I tried to take some night photos of the Gillispie Bridge somewhere in Gila Bend. But it was raining really bad so I was limited to where I could shoot since the G7 isn’t weatherproof. I liked one picture that came out and featured it on the portfolio. I wasn’t satisfied with it though, and wanted to try it again. I was also going to attempt to film a short featuring the bridge, and riding a motorcycle but by the time I arrived, the sun was already too low and cloud cover made it worse. So I just attempted a re shoot, first with the drone while I waited for the light to fade. I didn’t get much, but I thought these two were neat.
As I waited for darkness, the sky was on fire. I managed to get a few sunset shots, but I still need to work on the technique a little. Then I went back to the dam and started messing with long exposure shots in the dead of night. They turned out OK but my camera tends to get a lot of noise/color noise in night shoots… shots were still OK but too much noise to really consider ‘usable’
With the light cloud cover I wasn’t able to get the ‘night’ sky over the bridge after a few attempts, but it was still a nice ride on the motorcycle. Plus I saw a neat old mill, but the barking dogs scared me away while I tried to light paint it. Still a cool place, but a terrible photo (cause of the noise)
Check em out
Still developing the skill, and hopefully getting better….I think I am
